Nuts and Bolts: PA Wrangler Owners - Hold on to your doors

It's yet another installment of Nuts and Bolts - where we talk about crazy people and their connections to anything Jeep. This week:

SAYRE, Pa. -- Pennsylvania state police are trying to reunite some Binghamton-area Jeep-owners with a quantity of doors that were stolen off the vehicles and sold on the Internet.

More than 20 sets of doors, which troopers said are worth more than $5,000 per set, were stolen from Jeep Wranglers over the past 18 months. Troopers said several sets were stolen from the Binghamton area, sold on the eBay auction site by a seller calling himself “Jeepsalvager,” and shipped from UPS stores in Sayre and North Carolina.

Jamie Mullen, age and address unavailable, faces charges of receiving stolen property in connection with the thefts. Further charges are pending.

Anyone who may have been victimized in the scam is asked to call Trooper George Confer at (570) 265-2186.
