I just bought and used this product for the first time. I didn't buy it to protect the top or remove stains. I bought it for exactly what it says, "Convertible Cleaner". That is pretty much all it does from what I could tell after application. The cloth I used to apply it (microfiber) was covered in dirt afterwards. Blue Magic cleans well. You may read other reviews that say it's a really bad product, but it is not seeing as to how it is just for cleaning and nothing much more.

The cleaner is super easy to apply. You spray it on and scrub down the entire top first. Then, you wipe the entire top down with a wet cloth. That is all there is to it, and then you let it dry. Afterwards, my top came out a lot cleaner than it was, and I also noticed that the color seemed a lot deeper and more pronounced.

If you want something to protect your top or to waterproof it, keep right on looking. This is not the product for you. For those of you who wish to just clean your top, look to this product first. If you want something just as easy to use, but more involved protection wise look to 303 Protectant Convertible Top Cleaner or Raggtopp Cleaner which can both be used on the entire top including the windows.
