Hi-Lift Jack Isolator
Manufactured by Daystar
If you have a Hi-Lift Jack and a lot of Jeepers do, then you know the biggest fault of one of the most useful tools around. The notorious handle clanging around. The Hi-Lift Jack by default comes with a wire clip that is supposed to keep the handle connected closely to the jack shaft. More times then none, this wire clip is either broken off, is worn out or it is just plain missing, leaving the handle sagging or clanking around.
The folks over at Daystar have come up with a solution for this problem, and it works like a charm. They created the Daystar Jack Handle Isolator. For a minor cost of ten dollars, you can pick one of these isolators up at your local 4x4 shop or order one from a variety of websites. The jack isolator originally came in two colors (either red or black), but now the company offers four colors to choose from. You can pick between the original black or red, or you can pick a bright yellow or dark navy blue. I picked up a black one for my Hi-Lift Jack, and immediately fell in love with the well spent ten dollars.
Installation is easy. Just remove the top clevis and bolts on the top of the jack and slide the Daystar Jack Handle Isolator into place. Its that easy! It snugs the handle right up to the shaft of the jack without a hitch. You can then either leave the top angled clevis off the top of the jack or you can put the pieces back in their origination points. To remove your handle for use of the jack, simply slide the isolator up over the handle and away you go.
With a product so simple and practical, its hard to dismiss such a wonderful piece of polyurethane. There are many different companies now manufacturing these isolators, but Daystar has it down to a science. The thick, rugged appearance and styling give the Daystar Isolator a notch above the rest in usability and security of handle isolation. Pick one up today if you have a Hi-Lift Jack, you WILL NOT be disappointed!
