Perfect Weather for Tires
Airaid Intake And Throttle Body Spacer Combo

Airaid Intake Pros:

  • Easy to install
  • Increased torque and horsepower
  • Filter cleans easy and never has to be replaced
  • Produces a cool sound

Cons:

  • Cost - can easily cost over $250.00
  • Snorkels can no longer be used or installed with intake systems - requires more modifications.

If you want better performance and better gas milage from your Jeep® without spending all of your hard-earned cash, then you should consider an intake and a throttle body spacer. Intake and throttle body spacers are cheap engine mods that are quick and easy to install in your own garage. I spent about 30 minutes installing them using just a few tools.

Poweraid T.B.S.

One great thing about this product is that you can actually feel the system "kick" in when accelerating. You hear a slight whistle and then it goes away too. This is how you know that the system is taking in the greatest amount of air at the given point of acceleration. In a parked position and the hood being open, you can actually feel the air being forced through the intake and into the throttle body spacer. Its pretty cool to see and hear.

Installation is quick and easy. The filter simply installs to the stock intake tube and the throttle body spacer simply bolts under the throttle body with a set of gaskets.

Another benefit is that the filter that comes on the AIRAID has a lifetime guarantee. You never have to replace it or throw it away. You simply clean it off with filter cleaner and apply a coat of filter oil to the filter and away you go!! Talk about easy! You can also add pre-filters to the filter to provide an even cleaner air intake, but I have yet to do so. That will be a future product review once I get that purchased.

The only negative thing that could steer someone away Airaid Intake 2from any intake system is the lack of snorkel integration. I know there are kits out there that can be used to turn your intake into a canister to work with a snorkel, but the cost of that modification isn't worth the gain.

* Update *

I've had the intake and throttle body spacer installed for almost a month and I've seen improvement in gas mileage and throttle response. This is a great upgrade and wish I would have done it long ago. For a cheap, easy way to improve gas milage and performance, I recommend an intake and throttle body spacer.
